How does HIRT kinetics work?

What is the maximum size for HIRT kinetics?

Are HIRT kinetics reliable?

HIRT kinetics can easily withstand extreme climatic conditions and have proven themselves even under the toughest conditions. All HIRT kinetics are designed so that they can be installed anywhere in the world. They have been in use for many years in a wide variety of climate zones around the globe. From the temperate climate of Central Europe to salty, windy coastal areas, humid tropics and desert regions with extreme temperature fluctuations.

Can walls, masonry or facades without glass also be recessed?

Are HIRT kinetics safe?

Are HIRT kinetics well isolated?

Yes, very good indeed. With thermally separated construction, depending on the glass, heat transfer coefficients of up to a window U-value of 0.75 W/m2K are possible.

What are the maximum glass thicknesses that can be installed?

The maximum glass thickness for the HIRT kinetics SF 90 model is 63 mm, while for the HIRT kinetics SF XL it is 70 mm.

What types of glass can be used in HIRT kinetics?

Virtually all modern functional glass types can be installed as triple, double or single glazing. Special glass types, such as bulletproof safety glass, can also be installed as an option.

Do drop fronts also provide sun protection?

Yes. As a standard solution for shading, sun protection can be used as with a normal window. Glass with a sun protection coating is also possible. As a special solution, blinds can be adapted directly to HIRT kinetics, or conventional products such as slatted blinds or fabric awnings can be used.

Can doors be installed in HIRT kinetics?

Yes, both hinged doors and sliding doors can be installed in HIRT kinetics. This is an option that we highly recommend and which further increases flexibility of use..

How are HIRT kinetics operated with built-in doors?

HIRT kinetics with built-in doors are always electronically monitored. This ensures that they can only be operated when the door is locked.

Is there any burglary protection?

HIRT kinetics offer excellent burglary protection by design. Apart from lowering, there is no other way to open them. If additional doors are installed, these can be fitted with burglary protection systems.

What structural measures need to be planned?

The technical room in the basement, which is required as storage space for the recessed HIRT kinetics and for the counterweight, must be concreted. This technical room also houses the control system, motor, drive shaft, compressor and pneumatic components for the seal.

What should be considered when designing the technical room?

The size of the technical room depends on the size of the HIRT kinetcs™ used and must also have a minimum size for personal safety reasons. The documents provided for installation (system plan and product description) provide the exact dimensions for each specific project.

Does the technical room need to be drained?

HIRT kinetics are equipped with an integrated water channel. A small amount of water can collect here, which must be drained into a drain or pump shaft.

What load must the floor be able to withstand?

The weight of the HIRT kinetics is generally distributed across the basement ceiling. This load transfer is calculated individually. Optionally, supports can transfer the load to the floor of the technical room.

What does the electrician have to do on site?

The wiring for the motor, limit switch, control box and other peripheral components of the HIRT kinetics is pre-assembled. The on-site electrician only needs to connect the control system to the mains.

Can HIRT kinetics be closed in the event of a power failure?

Yes, the manual emergency locking system also works without electricity. Thanks to the counterweights, this does not require much effort.
